ABOUT

GARN & MEHR - this is me, Birgit Hahn, graphic and product designer and founder of GARN & MEHR, based in the South of Frankfurt/Main, Germany with a gorgeous little team behind me.

Already as a child, I loved to embellish my environment with creative designs and all kinds of beautiful things, self-made from basic material found in household and nature. After graduating from my graphic design studies, I worked for various large corporate design and advertising agencies, followed by years of dedicated freelance work in providing professional support and my expertise to corporate customers of all sizes.

Following the birth of my two children, I expanded my activities in 2010 to include product design of home accessories and gift items. As this became my passion I eventually combined my skills and experiences and - following my inner voice - founded GARN & MEHR in the fall of 2012.

Under this label, I collaborate with a traditional German twisting mill and with other German family-owned companies, to manufacture yarns and suited products that were so far not available or difficult to obtain on the German market. 
Our bakers twines, yarn specials and linen twines for creating, decorating, handicrafts and giving trigger memories of old times, of beautiful moments in life, and shall inspire your imagination and creativity to recall these moments in your life.
